Alabama coach Nick Saban positive for COVID-19
Nick Saban, a football coach at the University of Alabama, tested positive for COVID-19, the university announced Wednesday.
“I received a notification this morning that Savan is COVID-19 positive,” said a statement released by team doctor Dr. Jimmy Robinson and head athletic trainer Geoff Allen. “This test is not classified as a potential false positive because he has very mild symptoms. He follows all appropriate guidelines and quarantines at home.”
Saban will not coach an iron bowl game with # 22 Auburn on Saturday.
Savan was able to return to the team’s last regular season match against Arkansas.
Alabama is currently 7-0 and is ranked number one in the Associated Press Top 25.
Last month, coach Saban took a false positive test and then three consecutive negative tests.
This is a developing story. Please check back later for future updates.
