A suspect who attacked a 75-year-old Asian woman in Queens wanted another assault nearby, sources say.

Corona, Queensland (WABC)-A suspect who randomly attacked a 75-year-old Asian woman in Queens on Wednesday has led to another unprovoked assault, sources said.

Sources have told Eyewitness News that male police are investigating an attack on a Hispanic woman shortly after the first attack.

His identity has not been revealed, but sources say he is currently awaiting arrest.

He is not expected to be prosecuted for hate crimes.

Wing Wa Chin was walking on 57th Street near 97 Corona on his way to a nearby supermarket when he was hit in the face, officials said.

Police have released a video showing the moment the suspect attacked.

In the video, a man sitting on the 97th curb stands up, walks towards the market and hits Chin’s face.

The attack injured and broke a bone near one eye.

She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

Police believe the suspect is a man in his twenties who has fled in an unknown direction. On Thursday afternoon, police released an image of the man they were looking for.

Despite previous reports of police detaining the man, his search continues.
