According to Rajchel, the man jumped over the boundary fence and was monitored by airport staff at around 1:40 pm Pacific Standard Time.

Police officers detained the man and he was taken to a medical facility, Rajchel said.

According to a statement from Alaska Airlines, the plane returned to the gate for a full inspection after the incident.
