New York (CBSNewYork) — A girl with big dreams is chasing them now.
On Monday she had a chance to be a doctor for a day. Coronavirus Pandemic, CBS2’s Jenna De Angelis reported exclusively.
Shioset’s Desire Mohammady respects the medical heroes who survived the pandemic, and she wants to be one of them.
“I want to be a doctor because I want to help people,” said Desiree.

Doctors pointed out that Desiree’s heart can be seen as well as heard.
“You really find it great because you really have compassion for others,” Davis said.

“I knew it was safe, so I did it for everyone so that everyone could stay safe,” Lindsay said.
Desire went away with knowledge and some great birthday gifts, but most importantly, at just nine years old, he knew “I’m ready to be a doctor.”
Desiree wants to be a surgeon, specifically an ophthalmologist. Because she wants to help the blind.
